Cat Collars
Do Kittyrama collars fit cats of all sizes?
Our adult collars fit neck sizes between 19.5 cm and 26.5 cm.
Our kitten collars fit neck sizes between 14.5 cm and 18.5 cm and are only suitable for kittens that weigh at least 5 lbs (to ensure they are heavy enough to open the breakaway clasp when in need).
It is very important to make sure a safe fitting can be achieved for your cat, so we recommend measuring your cat’s neck before purchase.
A safe fitting is a snug fitting, leaving room for just 1 little finger to fit between cat’s neck and collar. A fitting that is looser than this can bring safety issues and discomfort for the cat.

There is excess strap poking out from the bottom of the collar. Is there a way to stop this?
Just to be on the safe side, once you know your cat fitting, please remove the collar from your cat before trimming the strap.
How do I choose the best collar colour for my cat?
Brown eyes : Blues and reds
Green eyes : Greens and blues
Gold eyes : Purples
Blue eyes : Blues, pinks and purples
Hazel eyes : Greens and yellows
Will my cat be able to open the breakaway clasp if they are in trouble?

The amount of force required to open our breakaway claps is ideal to ensure a safe release but should still be strong enough to ensure that the collar won’t get unnecessarily lost.
Please note that if the collar has been left too loose, cats could move the cat collar into their mouths and the breakaway clasp wouldn’t necessarily open because it wouldn’t be put under sufficient pulling pressure.
To ensure a safe fitting, please leave just enough room for 1 little finger to go through between neck and collar. A snug fit is a safe and comfy fit for your cat.
My cat has rejected other collars before. Why would yours be different?
Silicone is naturally hypoallergenic and antimicrobial, allowing moisture and heat to escape from underneath the collar, helping to avoid rashes and general discomfort. The strap is also waterproof, so the collar won’t accumulate water if your cat gets caught up in the rain.
Each collar is very light and any hanging elements have been thoughtfully minimised, to avoid nails getting caught.
How long will the collar last?
The silicone straps on our collars are not indestructible, and durability significantly depends upon correct fitting of the collar (plus natural wear and tear).
A snug fit, leaving room for only 1 little finger to go through between neck and collar is necessary to make sure safety for the cat, but also to protect the silicone strap from unnecessarily getting caught in nails and things when the cat is out
and about. This will help avoid the strap from damage.
